Lost and Found 遺失物

If you lose something, go to the nearest police box or station and notify a police officer. If you think you have lost something in a bus, train, tram or department store then you should contact the respective company as soon as possible. The law also requires that a cash reward is given to the finder, it is usually 5% to 20% of the value of the item returned.
YOU MUST REPORT THE LOSS OF THE FOLLOWING:
Foreign Resident Registration Card : You must report it to the police and receive a proof of loss. City Hall must also be notified.
Passport : You must file and receive a certificate of proof of loss from the police and report it to your embassy or consulate.
Credit Cards : Report the card lost or stolen to the issuing service.
Cash Cards : Report the lost card to the appropriate banking institution.
FINDING LOST ARTICLES
If you find something, take it to the nearest police box or station. If you find something in a department store or while using public transport, take it to the nearest clerk. In both cases make sure you get some proof of finding. |
